Labor Day Trip Plans Ruined by Thousand Trails Reservation
Staff
Our
plans for a Labor Day weekend trip were ruined by the reservation staff at
Thousand Trails RV parks. When we purchased
our RV from Guaranty
RV Supercenter we were offered a complimentary free visit and
three park membership at Thousand Trails. Apparently Thousand Trails took our
reservation for Pacific
City some weeks before
knowing full well that they were going to be overbooked. Two days before we were scheduled to arrive,
after sending numerous confirmations of our reservation via email and phone,
they called to say that they cancelled our reservation due to overbooking. This was Labor Day weekend, so, of course,
alternative arrangements were impossible. I asked them if they had an alternative park
that we could stay at, and they booked us at the Bend/Sunriver
park. Before we
left for the park I called to ensure that there was, indeed, a spot there for
our rig. There was no spot, and we spent
the weekend at home.
I spent the
weekend staining patio furniture, our back deck, and a fence, as well as doing
some other things around the house. We
spent a night in the camper since it was supposed to be a camping weekend for
us.
